After seeing the Carribean sea from the coast of Mexico, one cannot help falling in love with the blue, azure waters.
After intensive researching about Carribean islands, Turks & Caicos falls in the top tier of every travel enthusiast. So after a 3 hr flight from Atlanta, we landed in a small airport called Providenciales.
Turks & Caicos is actually a British Overseas Territory but with US Dollar as its main currency ! Strange but true !!
Hotel : Gansevoort
It was a task narrowing down to the hotel, as the prices of hotels in Turks & Caicos are crazily expensive. We did not want to stay in a cheaper hotel, but we did not want to just splurge on the best hotel.
Somewhere in middle we found Gansevoort, which was a small boutique hotel, with nice pool and good access to the beach. Its located on one end of the Grace Bay Beach with all major attractions at the other end.
The room was white in decor, and very comfortable reflecting the blue sea & blue sky of this beautiful island.
We did not leave the hotel during our 4 day stay. We had all our meals in this hotel itself. It was one of the most relaxing trips ever.
The service is good, the room is spotlessly cleaned, great service at the pool and the beach.

Things to do
There are not much things to do in Turks & Caicos , as compared to Cancun. This is totally an adults only place where children can only find activity in the pool or the beach.
But its the Grace Bay Beach , which makes it worthwhile coming all the way over here.
You just want to sit from morning to evening on the beach, reading your novel, listening to music or logging on to the free wifi which covers the whole hotel, and its part of the beach.
Also because of the price, you get a very elite crowd and it could be a nice place for someone to network with the rich & famous.
The sand is just like flour, and you feel very surreal when you are in the water and on the beach.
You could just keep walking endlessly walking without getting tired.
Its a touristy spot for the Americans, but for people from other part of the world, its one of the remotest islands.
And you can feel the tranquility of it once you are there.
